Globe Speed Test (Philippines)
This page allows Globe At Home subscribers to verify their internet connection performance. Accurate speed testing is crucial for both GFiber (Wired) and Home Prepaid WiFi (Wireless/LTE) users to ensure quality service.
Globe Telecom is a major provider in the Philippines, leveraging extensive fiber and cellular networks. Their "GFiber Unli" plans are popular for households, while "Home Prepaid WiFi" serves areas where fiber is unavailable.
Interpreting Your Globe Speed Results
Five key metrics define your internet quality:
Download Speed: The speed at which you receive data. For GFiber Plan 1699, expect around 200 Mbps. For Prepaid WiFi, expect 15–40 Mbps depending on 4G/5G signal.
Upload Speed: Affects outgoing video in Zoom calls. GFiber plans are symmetric (same upload/download), while Prepaid WiFi upload is typically much slower (5–10 Mbps).
Ping (Latency): Critical for gaming (Mobile Legends, Valorant). Fiber ping should be 5–20ms. Cellular/LTE ping is higher, often 30–60ms.
Jitter: The variance in ping. High jitter (>10ms) causes "stuttering" in games even with low ping.
To get a true measure of your plan's maximum speed, enable Airplane Mode on other devices or disconnect them temporarily before testing.

Network Types
GFiber (FTTH): Wired fiber connection. Highly stable, widely available in cities. Uses Huawei or FiberHome ONTs.
Home Prepaid WiFi: Reloadable modems (e.g., Huawei B310, B315, ZLT S10G). Dependent on cellular tower load.
Troubleshooting Slow Speeds
Signal Strength (Prepaid): Check the signal bars on your modem. If red or 1 bar, move the modem to a window or higher floor.
Fair Use Policy (FUP): Older Globe plans had data caps that throttled speed to 256 Kbps after consumption. Most new GFiber plans are "Unli" (Unlimited).
Wi-Fi Band: Ensure you are connected to the 5GHz band. The 2.4GHz band is often congested in Filipino neighborhoods.
Globe Router Login (192.168.254.254)
Accessing your modem allow you to change the Wi-Fi password (preventing neighbors from stealing bandwidth) and view signal stats (RSSI/SINR for Prepaid).
| Globe Router Details | Information |
| Gateway IP Address | 192.168.254.254 (Unique to Globe) |
| Standard Username | user |
| Standard Password | @l03e1t3 (Common) or 37215 (Huawei) |
| Note | Always check the sticker at the bottom. Passwords are case-sensitive. |
How to Change Wi-Fi Password
- Connect to your Globe network.
- Enter 192.168.254.254 in the URL bar.
- Login with credentials (try `user` / `@l03e1t3`).
- Go to WLAN or Advanced Settings.
- Change the WPA Pre-Shared Key.
Modem Light Indicators
Power: Solid = On.
PON (Fiber): Solid Green = Connected.
LOS (Fiber): Blinking Red = Line broken/cut. No Internet.
Mode (Prepaid): Cyan/Blue = 4G/LTE/5G (Good). Green/Red = 3G/2G/No Service (Slow/None).
When to Contact Globe Support (211)
Use the GlobeOne App or dial 211 if:
The LOS light is blinking red on your Fiber modem.
Your prepaid modem shows "No Service" (Red Mode light) despite having load/promo.
You need to request a repair for a physical line break.
FAQs
Why is my internet red light blinking? "LOS" (Loss of Signal) means the fiber cable physically connected to your house is broken. You cannot fix this via software reset.
How to speed up Globe Prepaid WiFi? Place the modem near a window facing the nearest cell tower. You can also buy an external MIMO antenna (from Shopee/Lazada) to boost signal reception.
