Speed Test Results and Optional Sharing
The speed test runs in your browser. Your local test history remains in your browser unless you choose to create a share link after a completed test. Choosing to share is optional and is not required to use the test.
What Data We Collect
If you create a share link, we store the following information for that share record:
- Test ID
- Time and date of testing
- Test results (download speed, upload speed, latency/ping, and jitter)
- ISP name and approximate city/country as reported by the network
- The Cloudflare test-server code
We do not store your IP address, GPS coordinates, browser user agent, or browser locale in a share record. An IP address may still be processed transiently by Cloudflare to deliver the request and enforce abuse controls under Cloudflare's own service terms.
How We Use The Telemetry Data
Data collected through this service is used to:
- Provide the optional share link that you request
- Produce aggregated statistics only when a result has been deliberately shared
- Improve the service, for example by identifying server-side reliability issues
We do not sell personal information. Results created before August 13, 2026 may have included IP-address or approximate coordinate fields in legacy storage; those fields are being removed under our data-cleanup process and are no longer returned in shared results.
Your Consent & Data Removal
If you want a share record deleted, email the specific Test ID to support@speedmbps.com. Providing the ID lets us locate the record. We will respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days.
