ACT Fibernet Speed Test

This page helps ACT Fibernet users in India verify their true internet speeds. ACT (Atria Convergence Technologies) uses Metro Ethernet technology to deliver high-speed, symmetrical broadband.

Because ACT users often provide their own routers (TP-Link, D-Link, Tenda), speed issues are frequently due to router configuration or "Portal Session" errors rather than line faults.

How to interpret your ACT speed test result

ACT is known for delivering exactly what is promised on LAN, but Wi-Fi results can vary.

Download Speed: Should be 95-100% of your plan speed on Ethernet. If you have a 100 Mbps plan and get 94 Mbps, that is normal overhead.

Upload Speed: Unlike Airtel or Jio, ACT offers 1:1 Symmetrical Speeds. Your upload should be just as fast as your download.

Ping (Latency): Typically <5ms to local ACT servers. Great for gaming.

Common Issues & Fixes

1. "Connected, No Internet"

This is the most common ACT issue. It usually means your Portal Session has expired.

Fix: Open your browser and go to portal.actcorp.in. Log in with your account number to refresh the session.

2. "MAC Bind" Error

If you swapped your router or are testing directly with a laptop, the internet might stop. ACT locks the connection to the first device mac address.

Fix: Open the ACT App > Support > Reset MAC Bind.

3. FUP Throttling

If your speed is stuck at exactly 512 Kbps or 1 Mbps, you have likely finished your "FlexyBytes" data quota.

ACT Router Login – Default IP, Username & Password

Since ACT allows you to use your own router, login details depend on your router brand.

Router Brand Default IP Address Default Password
TP-Link (Most Common) 192.168.0.1 admin / admin
D-Link 192.168.1.1 admin / (blank)
Tenda 192.168.0.1 admin / admin

Optimizing your Router for ACT

For the best experience, configure your router to PPPoE Mode. This lets the router handle the login automatically so you don't have to sign in via the browser every day.

Username: your_act_username (e.g., 10203040)
Password: your_portal_password

When to contact support

Contact ACT Support (1800 1022 836) if:

  • You see a Red LOS light on your ONU (the small white box before your router).
  • You have Reset MAC Bind but still have no internet.
  • Your physical fiber cable outside the window is cut or damaged.

ACT Fibernet Speed Test FAQs

Why is my ACT internet not working despite being connected? This is typically a "Session Expired" error. Visit portal.actcorp.in in your browser to log in again. Using PPPoE mode on your router prevents this.

What is the ACT Fibernet Router Login IP? It depends on your router. Try 192.168.0.1 (for TP-Link/Tenda) or 192.168.1.1 (for D-Link). Default login is usually admin/admin.

How do I fix the 'MAC Bind' error on ACT? ACT security binds the internet to your device. If you switch devices, open the ACT App and click "Reset MAC Bind" or "Clear Session" to authorize the new device.

Is ACT Fibernet symmetrical? Yes. A key advantage of ACT is symmetrical speeds. If you pay for 100 Mbps, you get ~100 Mbps Upload speed too, unlike DSL or Cable.
