Volia Speed Test

This page provides an accurate internet speed test for Volia subscribers in Ukraine. Whether you are using their DOCSIS 3.0 (Cable) network or their newer Fiber Optic (GPON/Ethernet) service, check your real-world performance here.

Volia is one of Ukraine's largest providers, unique for its widespread use of cable modem technology (Arris/Technicolor), unlike competitors who primarily use FTTB/FTTH.

Interpreting Your Volia Results

Download Speed:
- DOCSIS Plans: Often sold as "up to 100 Mbps" or "up to 200 Mbps". Expect real-world speeds of 90-180 Mbps.
- Fiber (Gigabit): You should see 900+ Mbps on a wired connection.

Upload Speed:
- Asymmetric (Cable): If your upload is much slower than download (e.g., 20 Mbps upload on a 200 Mbps plan), this is normal for DOCSIS technology.
- Symmetric (Fiber): Check for 1:1 speeds if you are on a Fiber/Ethernet plan.

Ping (Latency):
- DOCSIS: Typically 10-20ms to local servers (slightly higher than pure fiber).
- Fiber: < 5ms.

Volia Router Login (Arris / Technicolor)

To manage your Volia Wi-Fi password or check signal levels, you need to access your modem's interface. Common models include Arris CM820, Touchstone, and Technicolor TC7200.

Modem Brand Login Details
Arris / Touchstone URL: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.100.1
User: admin
Pass: password or (empty)
Technicolor URL: 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1

Pass: admin

Common Troubleshooting

Blinking US/DS Lights: This means your modem cannot lock onto the upstream or downstream signal.

  • Check that the coaxial cable is screwed tightly into the "Cable" port on the modem and the wall outlet.
  • Remove any unnecessary splitters (dividers) on the line, as they degrade signal quality.
  • Reboot the modem by unplugging power for 30 seconds.

"Online" Light is Off: The modem has no connection to the Volia headend. This often indicates a local outage or a cut cable.

Wired vs Wi-Fi Testing

For DOCSIS connections, it is critical to test via Ethernet. Wi-Fi interference can easily mask whether speed issues are due to your router or the cable signal coming into your home.

When to contact Volia Support

Call support (050-502-22-50) if:

Your "Online" light refuses to turn solid green.

Your internet drops every time it rains (indicates wet lines outside).

You need to bridge your modem to use your own router.

Volia Speed Test FAQs

Why are the US/DS lights blinking on my Volia modem? This indicates the modem is scanning for frequency channels but cannot lock on. This is usually a physical signal issue—check your coax cable tightness or call a technician.

What is the Volia router login IP? It depends on the model. For Arris, try 192.168.100.1. For Technicolor, try 192.168.0.1. Check the sticker on the bottom of the device.

Why is my Volia upload speed so low? Most Volia customers are on DOCSIS (Cable) networks, which are designed to provide fast downloads but slower uploads (asymmetric). This is a technology limitation, not necessarily a fault.

How I contact Volia support? The main support numbers are (050) 502-22-50, (093) 502-22-50, and (068) 502-22-50, available 24/7.
