Spectra Speed Test
This tool performs a precision speed test for Spectra (formerly Spectra net) broadband users. As one of India's few ISPs offering extensive 1 Gbps symmetric speeds, accurate testing is vital to ensure you are getting the premium bandwidth you pay for.
Spectra is renowned for its "Spectra Fastest" fiber plans in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai, often providing equal upload and download speeds which is rare in the market.
Interpreting Your Spectra Results
Download Speed:
- 1 Gbps Plans: On a wired connection, expect 900-950 Mbps. On Wi-Fi (5
GHz), expect 400-700 Mbps.
- 250/500 Mbps Plans: You should consistently see results very close to these advertised
caps.
Upload Speed: Unlike many cable or DSL providers, Spectra plans are typically symmetric. Your upload speed should be almost identical to your download speed (e.g., ~940 Mbps upload on a Gigabit plan).
Ping (Latency):
- Fiber: Should be excpetionally low, typically 2-10ms to local servers.
Spectra Router Login (D-Link / Nokia)
Spectra typically provides D-Link dual-band routers or Nokia/Huawei ONTs. You'll need to login to change your Wi-Fi name or password.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
Red "LOS" Light: This indicates a Loss of Signal. The thin fiber cable generally has no light coming through. Check for bends or breaks in the cable. This almost always requires a technician visit.
Slow Wi-Fi Speeds on Gigabit Plan: Ensure you are connected to the 5 GHz band. The 2.4 GHz band is technically limited to around 50-100 Mbps and cannot support Gigabit speeds.
"Connected, No Internet": Try restarting your ONT and Router. If the WAN light is not green, there may be an authentication issue.
Wired vs Wi-Fi Testing
Spectra's flagship product is "1 Gbps". It is important to understand that no single Wi-Fi device (phone/laptop) typically utilizes full 1 Gbps real-world speed. To verify Spectra is delivering the speed to your home, you must use a wired CAT6/CAT5e connection to a PC with a Gigabit Ethernet port.

Spectra Speed Test FAQs
Why am I not getting 1 Gbps on Spectra Wi-Fi? 1 Gbps speeds are extremely difficult to achieve over Wi-Fi. Even with 5 GHz AC/AX routers, real-world wireless speeds typically top out at 400-700 Mbps due to device limitations, distance, and interference. To verify the full 1 Gbps speed, you must use a CAT6 Ethernet cable directly connected to the Gigabit port of your router.
What is the Spectra Router Login IP? For the common D-Link DIR-825, use
http://192.168.0.1 or http://dlinkrouter.local. For Nokia/Huawei ONTs, try
http://192.168.1.1. Default credentials are usually 'admin' for both username and password, or
check the sticker on the device.
Does Spectra truly offer unlimited data (FUP)? Yes, Spectra is known for its "Truly Unlimited" data on most 1 Gbps plans, meaning there is usually no hidden Fair Usage Policy (FUP) cap that throttles your speed after a certain usage, distinguishing it from many other Indian ISPs.
