Breezeline Speed Test
This tool validates Internet speeds for Breezeline (formerly Atlantic Broadband) subscribers. Whether you use the "WiFi Your Way" mesh system or a standard DOCSIS 3.1 modem, this test helps determine if you are getting the speed you pay for.
Breezeline operates primarily on a hybrid fiber-coaxial network. While download speeds can reach 1000 Mbps (GigaFast), upload speeds are often lower (up to 50 Mbps), unless you are in a specific Fiber-to-the-Home extension area.
Interpreting Your Results
Download Speed:
- Base: 100 Mbps.
- UltraFast: 500 Mbps.
- GigaFast: Up to 1000 Mbps.
If your GigaFast connection tests below 400 Mbps over WiFi, try testing with an Ethernet cable to rule out
wireless interference.
Upload Speed: Usually capped between 10 Mbps and 50 Mbps on cable plans. This is normal for coax technology.
Ping (Latency): 15-30ms is standard for Breezeline cable. If you see >90ms, gaming may lag.
Breezeline Router Login & Settings
How you access your router depends on your equipment. Older gateways use a web interface, while new "WiFi Your Way" pods use a mobile app.

Troubleshooting Gateway Lights (Arris/Hitron)
Online (Solid): Internet is connected.
US/DS (Blinking): Searching for Upstream/Downstream signal. If this persists for >15 mins, check your coax cable tightness or check for outages.
WiFi (Blinking): Data is being transmitted wirelessly (Normal).
Fixing Slow "WiFi Your Way" Speeds
- Open the HomePass App.
- Check the "Health" of your Pods.
- Ensure secondary Pods are not too far from the main Gateway Pod.
- If a specific device is slow, toggle WiFi off/on to force it to connect to the nearest Pod.
When to Contact Breezeline Support
Contact support if:
Your US/DS lights keep blinking for over an hour.
You have rebooted the modem (unplugged for 30s) and still have no Internet.
Your wired speed test is consistently below 60% of your plan speed.
Breezeline Speed Test FAQs
Why is my Breezeline internet slow at night? Cable internet bandwidth is shared with neighbors. During "peak hours" (7 PM - 11 PM), speeds may dip if your local node is congested.
How do I reset my Breezeline modem? Unplug the power cord for a full 60 seconds. Do not just press the reset button quickly; a power cycle is more effective for clearing cache issues.
Does Breezeline limit data? Most residential Breezeline plans do not have hard data caps, but checking your specific plan terms is recommended as older Atlantic Broadband legacy plans might differ.
